The restaurant offers authentic Thai cuisine in a modern setting with calming ambience, warm colours and soft lighting. A happy incorporation of modern interior design with slight touch of traditional Siamese decorations sets the fine-dining mood.

Tom Yam Goong (Red & Clear Soup) RM 19.90 each
One of the chef''s recommendation. Super spicy for the red soup base and for the clear soup base, it was good too. Pretty satisfying.

Ta Kra Puaek @ RM 20.90
Stir fried tender chicken with cashew nuts and dried chillies served in yam basket. Tasteful!.

Pla Meuk Yang @ RM 22.90

The Golden Triangle Indochine Restaurant
multiplied their outlet from Autocity & Queensbay Mall, Penang to Solaris Mont Kiara. A perfectly renovated restaurant with comfortable ambience that serves Indo chinese food.

The Golden Triangle Indochine Restaurant @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Tables & seatings well arranged and desgined for privacy at ground floor

A restaurant well renovated and perfectly decorated that provides diners are cozy, relaxing and comfortable ambience. Service was good too! The most important, it is worth a visit for good food! And, the restaurant is currently having the All you can eat promotion @ RM 54++ per person!

All you can eat menu, order any dishes from the menu and they will prepare it for you! It's definitely not those all you can eat dishes already prepared and placed on a long table and customers serve themselves.

Clear Tom Yam Seafood Soup
Super spicy & tasty with generous portion of seafood!

Laotian Namprik Fried Rice
Aromatic fried rice with spicy paste. Sparking in flavor!

Kailan with salted fish

Claypot Tang Hoon Prawns
Tang hoon (glass noodles) - Obviously, I don't this is a clay pot but the dish was great too! Served with generous portion of fresh prawns and delivered with slippery and appetizing glass noodles.

Seafood Otak otak in coconut
Among all the dishes that we have ordered, the seafood otak otak served in coconut is the dish that amused me most as it is much different from our local otak otak (fish cake). Soft and watery sweet otak otak served in coconut. Again, generous portion of seafood. Pleasing in flavor!

Thai cashewnut chicken

Spicy Lima Leave Soft Shell Crab
More like fried sweet soft shell crabs. Tasted so-so for me!

Songkla Lemon Steamed Fish
Another best dish of the night! Spicy and sour enough leaving a lingering aftertaste. Fresh red snapper steammed with chilli padi and lime juice. Wonderful!

The Golden Triangle Indochine Restaurant, a restaurant that serves good tasrng dishes with a comfortable environment to dine in.Make sure you are a big eater! It's definitely worth a visit!

Simply Thailicious @ Flying Chillies

With an appealing name like FLYING CHILLIES, you might consider to dine in for a simply thalicious meal. FLYING CHILLIES another restaurant owned by the S.E.A Cuisine Group, serves medium range Thai cuisine.

FLYING CHILLIES @ The Gardens, Mid Valley

Thai Fish Cake @ RM 9.50
For a flying start, we ordered Thai Fish Cake as recommended by the person who served us. The appetizer was served with Thai spicy sweet chilli sauce and ground peanuts. Although it is a bit greasy, the fragantly deep fried fish cake accentuated with kafir lime leaves and and chillies tasted good.

Stir fried baby kailan with salted fish @ RM 15.00

Green curry chicken @ RM 15.00
Tasty green curry with lots of brinjals, peas and tender chicken. The green curry tasted sweet and spicy with thick milky gravy. An excellent choice to go with sweet smelling jasmine rice.

Spicy tom yam seafood soup @ RM 12.50
Tom Yam soup, a famous Thai cuisine served by Flying chillies probably will make you feel like flying after your first few sips. Hot and spicy, sweet and salty........unlike Thai Thai Restaurant, seafood served in the Tom Yam soup by Flying Chillies were tender and not over cooked.

Mocktail fc punch @ RM 12.00 and Roselle Flower Juice @ RM 9.00
FC punch, sweet and sour mocktail consist of strawberries and soursoup, a tasteful drink that helps to stimulate the appetite. The Roselle Flower Juice tasted normal- ribena alike.

S.E.A Cuisine runs a series of popular Thai restaurants in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. If you are a fan of Thai flavors, Flying Chillies is another restaurant that presents simple and satisfying Thai cuisine. Thai Food @ Rak Thai- Revisit

We have been looking around for delicious mango sticky rice. My best pal told me she found a restaurant that serves something similar like what we had in Bangkok and she refused to tell me the name of the restaurant. Guess she knows I was anxious about it and the other day I text her " Is it Rak Thai?" Hahahahaha....still refuse to tell me...and one fine day she told me you are right! It's Rak Thai and I didn't know the name until I visited the restaurant last week."

We then chosed a day to meet up for dinner at Rak Thai. Ahhhh.... my main purpose is to try their mango sticky rice after our dinner and guess what???............You will know later........

Phad Ki Mau @ RM 8.90
Phad Ki Mau which is the spicy drunken noodles, another popular dish in Thailand. The fried noodles tasted sweet and spicy but the portion of noodles were too little. Could be much better I think!

Thai Seafood Pineapple Fried Rice @ RM 12.90
Pineapple Fried Rice a signature dish of Thailand. The combination of the chunks of juicy pineapple with fragantly fried rice is nothing less than heavenly to eat.

Mango Chicken Chop Rice @ RM 14.90
This is one of the recomended dish in the menu. I mentioned in my earlier post on Rak Thai that I will be back for this and I did! It tasted good at first, sweet, sour and salty. And the more I eat, the more yucky I feel. The combination of the chicken chop and mango is.......how to say? Mmmm......GROSS!!

BBQ Lemongrass Chicken Chop with Rice @ RM 14.90

Fried Sea bass with sauce @ RM 25.90
One of my liking is their deep fried crispy seabass with Thai Chinese sauce. Sauce is sweet, spicy & salty.

Thai BBQ Squids @ RM 9.90 for 4 sticks
Squids were seasoned with turmeric and salt, perfectly grilled to tender perfection. Although not as delicious as what we had in Bangkok, the Thai BBQ squids served in Rak Thai is full of flavor too.

Thai BBQ Prawns @ RM 14.90 for 4 sticks
Prawns were too small and tasteless. Still prefer the one in Malacca.

So here comes my dessert. The delicious mango sticky rice I wanted to try! Once it is served, I start ed scooping and was busy enjoying the dessert. Normally I will be busy taking pics and..................what!!!! I actually forgot to take pictures of the mango sticky rice. I only realised that I have missed taking pictures for the dessert while I was on my way home. ~lol~ It's ok, there shall be another revisit.

Thai Barbeque @ Nong & Jimmy

I have tried barbecue prawns and barbecue squids but not
barbecue crabs and this is one of the reason I wanted to visit Nong & Jimmy! I have seen quite a number of post for Nong & Jimmy and most of the reviews seems to be good. Anyway, am not trying to be the outstanding one, but for me the food were not as expected especially the good looking barbecued crabs.

Nong & Jimmy Thai Barbecue @ Taman Cahaya

Chilli sauce with peanuts
Place your orders and then you be served with two types of chilli sauce. Once is the normal chilli sauce and the other one is with peanuts in it.

N & J Fried Rice @ RM 5.00
Well, this is great one! I think the best among the dishes we ordered! Fried Thai Fragant Rice with fresh prawns and eggs. Hahahaha..can't see the prawns from the pic huh. Cause I didn't know there are prawns until I started eating and at that point in time I was busy.....very busy eating.

Clay pot Tom Yam @ RM 10
Hot, sour and spicy tom yam served in clay pot with generous portion of prawns, squids, button mushrooms etc. The soup tasted great just like a fine classic Thai Tom Yam!

Grilled Stingray @ RM 12
Tasted normal. Mmmmm...nothing special it.

Stir fried Kangkung Belacan @ RM 9
This is one of my favorite dish. The green leafy vegetables fragantly fried with shrimp paste (belacan).

Hey crab....Looking at me? You look hot huh~~

Barbecue Crab @ RM 25.20
Okay..the barbecue crab is the dish that I wanted to try most. But, this turned out to be a disappointment. The crab meats were too dry and there is crab taste. Ahhh...I should have ordered it to be cooked in other style. Wasted....wasted.........

Am not saying that the food is totally not good but just that it is not as expected by me. Maybe I should have ordered something else and may be they do serve other delicious dishes that I don't know. About the crab....perhaps I should visit the market one day and cook a good one for myself hahahahaha ~~

Thai Thai Restaurant @ Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall

Having not much choices in Sunway Pyramid, and wanting to try something new..... I came across this restaurant while shopping.
The renovation of the restaurant draws my attention, I guess that's the reason I decided to have my dinner @ Thai Thai Restaurant, and upon entering the restaurant, then only I realized that this restaurant is under the same management with Actually Thai. I visited Actually Thai somewhere in June but did not post anything about it as I think there is nothing much to write about. But this time.....here I am....

Homey style renovation
Khao Ob Sapparod Gai/Gong (Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken/Prawn) @ RM 15 per plate.Where is the pineapple? Too bad, the fried rice doesn't taste good and the rice are cold!!

Stir Fried Chicken with Basil Leaves served with steamed rice @ RM 14. Okay!
Tom Yam Talay (Tom Yam Soup with Seafood) @ RM 14 per bowl. Should say tom yam soup with over cooked squids and 2 prawns.Special Thai Thai ABC @ RM 7 per bowl. Not so special anyway, too sweet. Try this at home, it might taste the same. Add sugar water with santan, portion of cooked sago, 2 pieces of honey due, strips of jack fruits, few cubes of mango and chestnut together. That's it!

It's definitely a good experience in dissapointment. Such a nice renovated and decorated place should serve something better. Rak Thai in Mid Valley, serves better food.

Rak Thai @ Mid Valley Megamall

Rak Thai is situated in the wing that connects Gardens to Mid Valley Megamall, a restaurant with simple decor and yet warming environment. We had a simple and satisfying lunch here. Because we are too hungry and not to spend too much time going through the menu, we ordered their Rak Thai Sets for 2-3 person. Foods served were better than expected and definitely worth it!

Simple decoration of Rak Thai Restaurant and they do sell Thai instant mee and products as well.

Rak Thai Sets (for 2-3 persons) @ RM 48.90++
Crispy Fried Fish Thai Chinese Style
Tom Yam Gai Fried
Kang Kung Thai Style
Thai Stuffed Omellete
Rice (2 bowls) Iced
Pandan Lemongrass Drink ( 2 glass)

Fish were crispy but a bit salty. Still taste great with rice!

Tom Yam Gai, which is their tom yam soup is special, not only because of it's color which is different, soup were tasty as well. May taste better if it is served with seafood instead of chicken. Chicken meat were tasteless though.

Stir fry chicken with basil leaves and chilly wrapped with omelette.Sorry no picture of Kang Kung cooked in Thai Style, I was too hungry and since it's first served, part of it is already in my stomach.

I will never forget this drink! It's a simple but a marvelous drink!

Wanna try their Thai Mango Chicken Chop Rice next round! Yummy yummy~~~ I love mango! And also mango sticky rice! I miss the one I had in Bangkok last time!
