Ben's General Food Store @ Bangsar Village I

Yes... I know I have been missing again! It's like- Now you see, and now you don't! Excuse mua *wink*

Well, here is a post to share with everyone! And still...it's about another outlet by The Big Group- Ben's General Food Store.

Ben's General Food Store comprises two sections, the cafe and the food store- A cafe with simple whitish classic design and arrangements and a food store with plenty of imported food. The cafe serves varieties of fresh and hearty salads, authentic and delightful pizzas and tempting desserts.

Caesar Salad @ RM 11.90
Cos lettuce with croutons, turkey bacon, eggs and Gruyere crisps with appetizing dressing. A pleasing start indeed!

IL Carnivore Pizza @ RM 24.90

Pizza baked and topped with tomatoes, mozarella, beef pepperoni (not in the above pic) turkey bacon, chicken cheese sausage and lamb chorizo- love the tasty turkey bacon and lamb chorizo- Overall, it was a good one!

Pescatora @ RM 29.90

Pizza baked and topped with tomatoes, mozarella, garlic, mixed seafood of shrimps, fish, mussels and squids- Tasteful! More seafood please?

Classic Chocolate Cake @ RM9.90
And here comes our dessert! Thick and moist chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream. Toothsome!

Besides Pizza Hut or Shakey's, here's a good recommendation for everyone. Be warned, it's pack during lunch hour and dinner time- be early!

Looked into the dictionary- canoodling means caress, fondle or pet amorously. Anyway, whatever it is....... this is not the topic for today!

Well, let's talk about dining at Canoodling then. Yup! by BIG Group again and more to come!

A casual yet stylish noodle house that serves variety of Asian noodles dishes, desserts, snacks, afternoon tea and steamboat too.

The Canoodle Oodles of Noodles @ RM 9.90

Thai style steamed silken rice noodle served with lettuce and coriander leaves, marinated minced chicken in dark soy sauce, a bowl of spicy coriander garlic sauce. Mix it, toss it or wrap it up! Eat as the way you like, share as you please. Like the spicy sauce very much.

Red curry duck confit noodles @ RM 9.90

Charcoal noodles served with thai style red curries, lychees and a whole crispy duck drumstick. Noodles with perfect texture and aromatic spicy red curry. It's good!

Tom Yam Noodles @ RM 9.90

Fiery clear Thai soup prepared with lemongrass, chilli & galangal served with vermicelli and seafood and straw mushroom. Thumbs up !

Green curry chicken noodles @ RM 9.90

Smooth rice noodle served with spicy green curry chicken topped with crunchy bean sprout. Just nice!

Dan Dan Mein @ RM 9.90

Handmade noodles tossed in peanut buttery spicy sze chuan sauce served with minced chicken heaped with cucumber and crunchy peanuts. A unique noodle dish indeed.

Ipoh Chicken Noodles @ RM 9.90

Ipoh flat rice noodles served in clear prawn soup base topped with prawns and poached chicken.

Spotted T Forty Two while I was at Bangsar Village-Looks good and what's next? Yes, it's new (in Bangsar Village II) and YES, it's another outlet by the BIG Group.

T Forty Two serves classical French cuisine and a wide range of gourmet teas. Also, T Forty Two serves selection of tempting cakes, variety of salads, quiches and other hot dishes too.

My first visit was for lunch with my colleague. And then, another tea session with my bestie on Sunday.

T Forty Two (Bistro) @ Bangsar Village II

Charmingly designed bistro with whimsical decorations that creates and outstanding ambiance to dine in. Delightfully relaxing environment, am loving it!

Prepared with zuchinni, carrots, chickpeas and frissee lettuce, served with green chilli and herb dressing- fresh & appetizing!

Served with clams, scallop, calimari in tomato and garlic sauce. Fresh roasted fish and juicy seafood- pretty satisfying!

And then a tea session with my bestie- High T for two set - stated in menu, only available from 3-6 pm.

High T for two set comes with two drinks (select from menu), salmon and sandwiches, scones, cakes (select from menu), macarons and chocolate truffles.

There are two outlets, the first outlet is at Empire Subang Gallery which is a cafe. The other new outlet in Bangsar Village II is a bistro.

Enjoyed dining at T Forty Two! It's an excellent place for get-togethers with friends and family

Plan A failed? It's okay.......we have Plan B! Plan B, a food outlet by Big Group, is a distinguished modern coffee shop newly set in Bangsar Village I shopping center.

Plan B holds a concept of modern Aussie meets New York deli and specializing on coffees from their renowned Market Lane Coffees of Melbourne.

Spicy Aglio Oglio @ RM 14.00

Spaghetti sauteed with olive oil and slow roasted garlic and chilli. The first order that surprises my and my colleague. Yea, we didn't read the menu properly. It's plain aglio oglio indeed.

Turkey Ham & Cheese Toastie @ RM 14.00

A simple favorite oozing melted cheese on country white bread with ham. Bread were toasted with butter on both sides, aromatic! My wholesome lunch-Yummy! Plan B serves both western food and asian food. Other than this, they serves variety of cakes and desserts. But...... too much to try on the same day and I was back the next day for take away! Yes, cakes! Let's see what we have tried.

Coffee was good, cakes are on par. Besides good food, with it's stylish and contemporary design, Plan B is definitely a recommended place for coffee addicts or perhaps for a meet up.

Marmalade cafe- A marvelous choice!

Purposely drove all the way to Bangsar for breakfast on a beautiful Sunday. And revisited after a week or two for dinner and cakes.

Marmalade Cafe @ Bangsar Village II

Serves specialty salad, soups, pasta, scrumptious sandwiches, oriental dishes and delicious cakes and smoothies.

Hearty Brekkie @ RM 25.00
2 eggs, chicken sausages, beef bacom (replaced with chicken ham), baked beans, garden greens and toast.
Definitely brightens up my Sunday!!

Plenty of vege -healthy enough? A great try!

Smoked Salmon Quiche @ RM 17.00
Baked tart with combination of eggs, cream cheese, smoke salmon, onion and leek.
Crust is thick but not flaky. A little bland after a few scoop of it. Too full ??!!

Quiche

It's a French cuisine, baked dish based with pastry crust. Pastry based is baked before adding ingredients for a secondary bake. Ingredient used are normally mixture of eggs and meat/fish or vegetables.

And here comes our dessert!!

Carrot cake @ RM 11.00

Little rabbit gone mad after seeing carrot cakes displayed at the counter. My best pal fancy carrot cakes. No doubt, it's good. Love the toppings too- Nice and tangy marmalade. Thumbs up!

Blueberry Yoghurt Cake @ RM 11.00

I wanted to try the Lemon Tart but, there is only a piece left. Fussy me doesn't want the last piece and opted for Blueberry Yoghurt Cake- Another satisfying piece of cake, served with yoghurt. Portion is too big though.

Haagen Daaz Fondue

A week full of worries and emotions were washed away by the Haagen Daaz Fondue. Lots of worries and thinking's recently, and I am glad that it so happened that our plan falls on this week. Again, dessert makes me happy. I guess Jessie and myself has been looking forward to try the Haagen Daaz Fondue. We walked around in Bangsar Village after Banquet and then sat down to enjoy our fondue happily.

A luxurious Haagen Daaz Fondue created from hot molten sauce combine with mini scoops, seasonal fruits and warm patisserie.

4 mini scoops of Strawberry Ice Cream
4 mini scoops of Cookies & Cream

Finishing touch for fondue(chose any one topping): Chocolate Sprinkle/ Almond flakes/ Almond nibs

I was telling Jessie that I think I can finish the whole fondue by myself...hahahahaha...except the chocolate chip cookies (Chipsmore)! "You very GELI!!" she replied. The mini scoops are about 1 1/2 inch in diameter, so it is not as big as we thought plus some fruits and cookies, I really think I can finish everything.........should try next time. The fondue was great, should try it if you are someone like me....By the way, this is their current promotion...
