The Golden Triangle Indochine Restaurant
multiplied their outlet from Autocity & Queensbay Mall, Penang to Solaris Mont Kiara. A perfectly renovated restaurant with comfortable ambience that serves Indo chinese food.

The Golden Triangle Indochine Restaurant @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Tables & seatings well arranged and desgined for privacy at ground floor

A restaurant well renovated and perfectly decorated that provides diners are cozy, relaxing and comfortable ambience. Service was good too! The most important, it is worth a visit for good food! And, the restaurant is currently having the All you can eat promotion @ RM 54++ per person!

All you can eat menu, order any dishes from the menu and they will prepare it for you! It's definitely not those all you can eat dishes already prepared and placed on a long table and customers serve themselves.

Clear Tom Yam Seafood Soup
Super spicy & tasty with generous portion of seafood!

Laotian Namprik Fried Rice
Aromatic fried rice with spicy paste. Sparking in flavor!

Kailan with salted fish

Claypot Tang Hoon Prawns
Tang hoon (glass noodles) - Obviously, I don't this is a clay pot but the dish was great too! Served with generous portion of fresh prawns and delivered with slippery and appetizing glass noodles.

Seafood Otak otak in coconut
Among all the dishes that we have ordered, the seafood otak otak served in coconut is the dish that amused me most as it is much different from our local otak otak (fish cake). Soft and watery sweet otak otak served in coconut. Again, generous portion of seafood. Pleasing in flavor!

Thai cashewnut chicken

Spicy Lima Leave Soft Shell Crab
More like fried sweet soft shell crabs. Tasted so-so for me!

Songkla Lemon Steamed Fish
Another best dish of the night! Spicy and sour enough leaving a lingering aftertaste. Fresh red snapper steammed with chilli padi and lime juice. Wonderful!

The Golden Triangle Indochine Restaurant, a restaurant that serves good tasrng dishes with a comfortable environment to dine in.Make sure you are a big eater! It's definitely worth a visit!

Departure Lounge @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Departure Lounge @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Departing? Yes! About half an hour ago, I was departing to Departure Lounge and now, here I am sitting in the lounge after enjoying a scrumptious brunch! Relaxingly blogging

The name of this cafe itself makes one feels like as if they are in the airport waiting for departure. But, the cafe is not in the airport. In fact is is actually themed with "traveling" concept. A beautiful Sunday should be enjoyed wisely and Departure Lounge would be a great start of the day!

Cafe Latte @ RM 7.50 & Cappuccino @ RM 6.00
Cappuccino, freshly brewed espresso coffee mixed/topped with steamed milk. Hot and aromatic start before my meal. Coffee served here are by illy- a famous brand of coffee produced in Trieste, Italy. Another cup please!!

It's almost noon but it's alright, I would named it as "my brunch". Departure Lounge offer varieties of breakfast selections. There are choices like all day breakfast platter, pancakes, muffins, toga sandwiches, classic sandwiches and toastinis but not Asian breakfast or dim sum.

All Day Breakfast Order chit
For the All Day Breakfast Platter, there are 3 items platter @ RM 7.90, 5 items platter @ RM 10.90 and 7 items platter @ RM 12.90. The order chits are place at the counter and you may create your own breakfast platter from these selections- chicken sausages, turkey ham, beef/turkey bacon, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, half boiled eggs, baked beans, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomato, has brown, fish finger and pancake.

7-items All Day Breakfast Platter @ RM 13.90
I opted to replace the those with English Muffin by paying additional RM 1.00. So here comes my scrumptious brunch. Pancakes are served with a portion of honey and butter and jams are for the English muffin. I have selected chicken sausages, turkey ham, turkey bacon, baked beans, scrambled eggs, fish fingers and pancake and that makes up to 7 items!

Toga sandwich- Chicken Puebla @ RM 13.90
Toga sandwich- Chicken Puebla are served with nachos and salsa sauce. Chicken breast aromatically grilled with roasted, sauteed onions, cheese and tomato wrapped with tortilla. Love the grilled chicken breast, it's appetizing!

A corner with various travel books

Saffron Mediterranean Bistro

The word Mediterranean derives from a Latin word "
mediterraneus" meaning "in the middle of earth". If it is seen from the geographic point of view, the name Mediterranean means the sea being surrounded by the land. Refer to the world map to know more

What about Mediterranean Cuisine? I guess it's about food of the areas around Mediterranean Sea.So, I visited Saffron Mediterranean Bistro with the gift voucher sponsored by Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi for our staff party. This is the new outlet which is located in a new area named Solaris, Mont Kiara and this is my first time visiting to Solaris. I am so outdated

Saffron Mediterranean Bistro @ Solaris, Mont Kiara

Berry Choc @ RM 9.00, Amaretto Freddo @ RM 9.00 & Pineapple Juice @ RM 7.00 (left to right)

Cream of Wild Mushrooms @ RM 8.00 & Seafood Garlic Soup @ RM 8.00
Berenjenas al Andalusia @ RM 12.00 & Pollo de Ajillo @ RM 12.00

The drinks and tapas doesn't please us much. Time took to serve the drinks were too long. Where is our capucinno? As for soup, it's just normal. Nothing much to comment. For delicious tapas, consider Sentidos Tapas @ KL Plaza!

Chicken Quesadillas @ RM18.00

Spiced Prawn Quesadillas @ RM 18.00

Spiced prawn and chicken quesadillas, were served with grilled tortilla (a plain round flour cake) wrapping spiced prawn/ chicken, tomatoes, red beans, jalapeno (chilli pepper) and pineapple. The dish is served with 3sauces which is salsa sauce, sour cream and guacamole (mashed avocado). The chicken quesadillas tasted good with humble portion of grilled chicken wrapped with tortillas but the spiced prawn quesadillas, I can hardly see the prawns. A tasteful spanish dish!

Cod with Pimientos @ RM 35.00
Pan fried Cod Fish with zucchini, bell peppers and asparagus served with roasted pimientos sauce and sweet potatoes. Although it's pan fried, the juiciness of the fish is maintained. The tastiness and freshness of the fish makes this dish a highly pleasing one.

Latino Chicken Fajitas @ RM 18.00
Marinated chicken grilled to perfection served on hot plate with sauteed onion, bell peppers and vegetables salsa sauce. Together the tortillas, salsa sauce, sout cream and guacamole were served. You may wrap the chicken fajitas with tortillas and sauces. The Chicken Fajitas were well marinated and it's delectable!!

Ala Carbonara @ RM 18.00
For me, a delicious carbonara should be creamy and yet light in taste. This is definitely a satisfying Carbonara I have tried. It's creamy but light in taste, spaghetti served with bacon, mushrooms, grated parmesan cheese and egg yolk.

Well, I expected some special Mediterranean cuisine but dishes served by Saffron Mediterranean Bistro were just some normal dishes. I guess Mediterranean cuisine means the cuisines from different countries surrounding the Mediterannean Sea. For a restaurant which is classified as fine dining, the food qualities were considered average but satisfying but could be much better. Maybe, it's still very new......Work harder ya!!
