Introduction:

Established since 2009, Malones, an Irish themed bar located at Suria KLCC isn’t any different but plays the current characteristic of gastropub trend.

Ambiance:

Malones Irish Restaurant and Bar's settings is rather solid and macho with its warm colour scheme of green, brown and maroon that blends in its décor that mixes contemporary elements like marble top bar, barrel tables and wooden tables with high chairs.

It also offers big screens for sports fans, pool table inside next to the stage and live band performances on Friday nights or weekends.

Food & Beverages:

Malones Irish Restaurant & Bar serves a delightful menu of pork free authentic Irish specialties by their own Chef's creation and a variety of menu classics such as Fish and Chips, succulent burgers and snacks.

They serve wide range of imported beers including Strongbow, Guinness, Kilkenny and Paulaner as well as a wide range of spirits- whiskey & cocktails, soft drinks and coffee too.

Mustard Baked Chicken @ RM 26.90
Half chicken marinated with whole grain mustard and whisky served with green peas and sauteed potatoes

Beer Fish & Chips @ RM23.90
A generous piece of dory fillet dipped in beer batter and golden fried to perfection served with fries and tartar sauce.



Cream chicken mushroom pasta @ RM 24.90
A "classic" and earthy creamy pasta served with chicken fillet and mushroom.

Kilkenny @ RM 18.50
Do I need to describe more? Chill.....

Wrap up:

It may not be a place for the best Irish cuisine but food was good. After all, with its boozing atmosphere, Malones is definitely a cool bar for a quick pint after work or a get together with friends. A place to be for some good old-fashioned Irish food and of course drinks to chill.

TME: The Meat Experts @ Hartamas Shopping Centre, Plaza Damas

Introduction:

The Meat Experts "TME", the name of the restaurant shouts for itself, a perfect place for meat lovers. Founded by David Chong, TME is located at ground floor in Sri Hatamas Shopping Center since 2009.

Ambiance:

Casual dining environment with minimal decor and the table arrangements are quite close, hence it is not so spacious.

Food & Beverages:

TME serves a variety of delicious meat dishes ranging from pork, beef and lambs and also mouth watering pastas, pies, burgers and sandwiches.

Other than these, the restaurant serves Lavazza coffee and a selection of wine as well.

The Organic Breakfast Platter @ RM 26.90

Served with two smoked ham, two uncured bacon, pork breakfast sausage, scramble egg or sunny side up, baked bean, toasted bread. Thumbs up!

TME Big Bite @ RM 19.90

Served with garden green, ham, bacon, egg, tomato, coleslaw and french fries.

Coffee comes with The Organic Breakfast Platter, side ordered cafe latte @ RM 7.00 per cup and the selection of wine are as in the fridge.

Wrap up:

A pleasant brunch! TME doubtlessly serves delicious and fresh meat dishes. Moreover, TME supplies bountiful of salamis, obscenely huge spicy-looking chorizos, hams, bacons, many other types of sausages, etc. The restaurant also organizes parties and corporate catering as well.

Introduction:

An excitement to the heart of KL since 2009. OVERTIME, an entertainment outlet that offers a place to wind down, sit back and relax with a beer or two while enjoying relaxing instrumental music and live band performances.

Bavarian Bierhaus German Restaurant & Bar @ The Curve Damansara

April has been a month full of gatherings and meeting up with old buddies. Am honored to decide the venue- thanks guys!

And so it's about the pork and beer affair!! Pick of the day- Bavarian Bierhaus German Restaurant & Bar at The Curve, Damansara.

Started the session with Franziskanner Weissbier- a beer with a long tradition originated from Munich,Bavaria, Germany. Smoothly blend with zesty flavor and refreshing sensation.

Huehnchernwurst- Chicken sausages @ RM 39 ++
Tasty chicken sausages served with gratin potato and grilled asparagus. Flavorsome!

Pork Chop @ RM 52++

Grilled pork chop served with golden apple raisin sauce, grilled asparagus and gratin potato. Well marinated, perfectly grilled pork chop- chewy yet juicy with satisfying sauce combination.

Besides German beer, Bavarian Bierhaus German Restaurant is a restaurant specializing in pork dishes. Yes, it's a good try and there are more to attempt. Shall we try pork knuckles next round?......

ZOUK CAFE BAR @ The Gardens

A drinking and dining session with my best pal at Zouk Cafe Bar, The Gardens Mid Valley City.

Yes... it's a new F&B venture by Zouk Club, KL.


Zouk Cafe & Bar checked in and starts operating in The Gardens, Mid Valley City since Jan 2010. A well renovated cafe and bar that somehow manages to combine elegance with cosiness assuring a convivial atmosphere.

Don't get me wrong too, Ｉ am not an alcoholic ya......hahahahaha....

Menu features Western and Asian cuisines but limited choices. Hope they will come up with more varieties of food. And of course, beers got to go along with yakitori!

Yakitori, a traditional Japanese style skewered grilled chicken. It's actually skewers of well marinated bite sized chicken barbequed/grilled till delicately cooked.
Yakitori is normally served by street vendors.

Chicken Yakitori @ＲＭ8.90

The skewered morsels of chicken served with Yakitori sauce is satisfying. Chickens are delicately grilled, well marinated and and perfectly balance up with the sauce.

Indonesian Fried Rice @ RM18.90

Spicy fried rice served with Balinese satay, sambal celek, fried egg and prawn crackers. Nothing fascinating, not boring either....spicy fried rice tasted so-s0. Noticed that the Balinese satay as stated in the menu turned out to be chicken yakitori served with satay sauce. The sambal celek was good though...

Grilled chicken @ RM 26.90
Here comes my order!

Grilled chicken thigh , roasted garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed french beans, confit of shiitake (mushrooms) and tomatoes served with choice of mustard cream sauce or five spice tomato chutney. Opted for the latter.

A pleasant surprise! Tasty grilled chicken is gratifying. Even, the roasted garlic mashed potato itself is interesting!

After dining, we continued with more drinks.
