If you plan to visit Fort Cornwallis, you will not miss sighting this Queen Victoria Memorial Tower. The clock tower at the junction near to the entrance of Fort Cornwallis.
In year 1897, this clock tower was presented by Cheah Chen Eok, a millionaire in Penang. This moorish style clock tower was built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria.
The clock tower is 60 feet tall, each foot for each year of Victoria's reign and is divided into four tier octagonal base followed by square base and then finish by arched and dome cupola.
Although nothing fascinating but worth a sight.
