Vietnam Kitchen @ Plaza OUG , Old Klang Road Kuala Lumpur

I loitered in Citrus Park, Plaza OUG while waiting for one my friend last week and I saw the promotion advert by Citibank again in front of thir restaurant, then, I turned around and look inside.........Ooooppsss...I saw some snacks served to the diners, it looks so tempting!!!

Vietnamese Cuisine are basically divided into three categories relating to a specific region which is the Nothern, Central & Southern region. Vietnam Kitchen serves dishes to the tradition of Vietnamese Chinese Fare- which is more likely the cuisine of South Vietnam. Cuisine of South Vietnam were influenced by the southern chinese imigrants thus sweet flavors are preferred in many dishes.

Fresh Prawn Rolls @ RM 6.90- Good Pick!

Fresh herbs, blanched rice vermicelli, slivers of raw carrot, cucumber and pickled carrot, and cooked prawns are rolled up with rice paper. The fresh prawns rolls are eaten with black bean dip which lends the dish a distinctive taste of sweetness.

Crispy Vietnamese Spring Onion Cake @ RM6.90- Good Pick!

Crispy Spring Onion Cake which looks like a doughnut topped with fish floss, mayonnaise and sesame seeds wrapped with vegetables. Delicious!~~

Golden Mango Prawn Roll @ RM 6.90 -Good Pick!

Mango with Prawns wrapped with "popiah skin"-a thin paper like crepe, topped with sesame seeds. Served hot.

Ciku Shake @ RM 6.90 & Cold Water Chestnut @ RM 5.90

I love their ciku shake, anyway its not a shake I don't know why they named it ciku shake....hahahahaha....it's more like an Ice blended Ciku. Both drinks are recommend drinks in their menu.

Snacks were great! How about their home style dishes?

Fish Fillet with 3 special sauce @ RM 18.00- Bad Pick!

This is one of their signature dish and when I see the word "special" - I am expecting something special.....Well........It's nothing special and taste wise were dissapointing!

Vietnamese Sour soup @ RM 6.90- Good Pick!

Although the Vietnamese Soup looks deceptively hot and spicy, the mild tasting broth yields a mélange of bitter, sour, salty and sweet nuances.

Stir Fried Long Bean with belacan & dried shrimps @ RM 11.00- Could be better!

Vietnam kitchen offers one-dish meals, appetizers and home-style dishes, it's a restaurant that you can consider to stop by for a quick and scrumptious meal. Be careful with your pick!!!
