PHUKET, the largest island of Thailand is one of the southern provinces of Thailand.
The island is about the size of Singapore, running from 48 kilometers (34 miles) north to south and 21 kilometers (16 miles) east to west, situated off the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea.
Neighboring provinces of Phuket are Phang Nga and Krabi and the island is connected to mainland Thailand by two bridges.

Each time when I am flying to Phuket, it reminds me of my childhood. Yes, been there while I was 9 years old? Anyway, we used to travel very often to Had Yai & Southern Thai very often at that time, tagging along with dad while he traveled up North for business.
My recent visits are short, am planning to travel to Phuket again in 2011, a longer stay perhaps.
And of course, water activities!!- Have not been to any as yet!
Funny, ain't it? I was there twice in 2009 for business trip and once, in 2010 for holiday!
