Amazing Thailand!! Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai

A long waited trip for the 3 of us! 2 is down with the combo package of flu, cough and fever and yet we were all excited and looking forward for the trip.

Because we pre-booked our tour with Summit Holidays, we were sort of worried that our tour will be much affected due to the flight delay.

5 hours of delay. We were transfered to another plane.... While waiting....

With all the fuss at the airport, we finally reached Chiang Mai after 7 and 1/2 hour! And, Yay!! We were greeted with a Chinese speaking tour guide from Good Season Travel Co Ltd at the gate.

WELCOME to CHIANG MAI!!!

Sharing my two cents.....

Chiangmai sometimes written as Chiengmai also known as Lanna (million rice field) is located 700km to the Northwest of Bangkok.

Nophaburi Sri Nakorn Ping Chiangmai , the city of Chiangmai (Northern Thai) , Thailands’ second largest city was founded by King Meng Rai in 1296.

The city marks a history back with more than 700 years and it’s one of the most culturally significant city in Thailand. Besides the cultural influences, with the location at the North, Chiangmai offers stunning scenic views.

It's a perfect holiday destination indeed!

Do you know?
  • Thailand is the 50th largest country in the world in terms of total area
  • Thailand is geographically grouped into 6 regions – North , South, East, West, Northeast & Central
  • Bangkok is not a province but a special administrative area. It was then included as the 76th province since it is administered at the same level as the other 75 provinces.(Within the 6 regions, there are 75 provinces + 1 Bangkok)
