Restaurant Yakiniku

My second time visiting to Yakiniku. At first I have an impression that the name of the restaurant sounds abit funny "Yakiniku" sounds like a Malay word. When I wanted to blog about this restaurant, I try to surf for the word "Yakiniku" and to my surprised, the name has a meaning which is directly related to what the restaurant served.

Yakiniku (焼き肉 or 焼肉), meaning "grilled meat", is a Japanese term which, in its broadest sense, refers to grilled meat dishes.Today, it commonly refers to a Japanese style of cooking bite-sized meat and vegetables on gridirons or griddles over flame of wood charcoals carbonized by dry distillation (sumibi, ja:炭火) or gas/electric grill. In North America, China and Taiwan, Yakiniku is also known as "Japanese BBQ".

This Japanese BBQ restaurant is specially designed with a covered ventilation fan on top of each table , so that when you are grilling the restaurant is not fumigated with smoke.

The ingredients served are perfectly marinated, and if you are afraid that it is too heaty, you can order vegetables to wrap the grilled ingredients( chicken meats/squids/bacons). If you do not know what to order, perhaps you. can try their promotion set for 2 @ RM 27++ which includes:

  1. 2 glasses of drinks (choice of Jasmine eea/Green tea/Lemon tea/Lime sour)
  2. 2 bowls of rice
  3. 1 portion of bacon
  4. 1 portion of to fu
  5. Chicken drumstick OR 1 portion of lean meat
  6. Lamb shoulder OR squids
Very often, for those who lives in condominiums misses the BBQ environment, and although we can rent space for the management to have a BBQ session, the preparation would be tedious too. For simple BBQ gathering, Yakiniku is a place you can consider. By the way, they serves steamboat and ala-carte menu as well.

FYI: In 1993, the All Japan Yakiniku Association proclaimed 29 August as official "Yakiniku Day"
