Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits also known as Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen or Popeyes Chicken & Seafood is a chain of fried chicken fast food restaurant first opened in Louisiana.
Copeland the founder of Popeyes claimed that the fast food store was named after a fictional detective named Jimmy Popeye in a movie known as The French Connection, it was NOT named after the comic Popeye the Sailor-the mascular spinach sailor! BUT, the chain later obtained the rights to use Popeyes the Sailor for marketing.
Popeyes is here since Jan 2009! And it's not about spinach but fried chickens and seafood......

Mashed potato with Cajun Sauce & Coleslaw
Each combo set includes biscuits, regular side-mashed potato & coleslaw and a drink. The biscuit served hot a bit saltish and crispy outside but soft like a muffin inside. Ordinary yet pleasing.
Besides crispy and tender, there is nothing much to put down for the fried chicken, tasted ordinary to me. Same applies for the fish and shrimp set.
